Westlake Baseball needs qualified, dedicated people to work as umpires.

This is a great after-school and Saturday job for mature, responsible teenagers and adults.  We schedule you according to your experience and availability, and you can earn good money.  (You don't think we get yelled at by coaches for free, do you?)  Each season, several kids make more than $1000 during the season!

Umpires participate in a six-week training course that begins in January at Westlake Elementary School. You don't have to have been a player, but you should have a basic knowledge of baseball.  Last year more than 60 umpires, many of whom are players in our league, were trained and officiated at WBA games.  Youth umpires must be 13 years old by March 1 of the current season.  Adult umps are also needed, especially for the older divisions.
